A charming boutique hotel, with a great breakfast - We stayed there for 2 nights, giving us a full day to explore quito. The hotel was charming, well maintained and looked like it was recently renovated. The... read more rooms were nicely decorated and had that feeling like we were staying with someone we knew. The bathroom was also recently renovated and did not have a cramped feeling to it.
Breakfast was not your usual breakfast buffet found in chain hotels. They offered a freshly made French Toast or an omlete. The buffet had fresh fruit and bread. We enjoyed it.
The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We asked for a recomendation for a restaurant within walking distance that served local cuisine. They suggested a restaurant that was 2 blocks away and had excellant ecuadarian food at a reasonable price.
As an retired couple, we took a taxi to the old city, as it was a little too far to walk.
There was also a mis-understanding, my inquiry into pricing of the airport taxi was mis-interpreted as confirmation, which resulted in a double booking. This was quickly resolved by hotel staff.
